This project is a typography based design for the Shakespearean classic, Romeo and Juliet. The premise of this design was to embody the tragedy of the story by creating a bold, simplistic design that incorporates imagery with typography in a seamless way. The type in this design focuses on the names of the two protagonists while the illustrations (a dagger and bottle of poison) focus on the devices used to end the lives for said protagonists. Red was used as the only color to contrast the black and white to symbolize the passionate fling between the protagonists as well as the blood shed throughout the story due to their emotions.
